From a very early age, Mike enjoyed investing and planning his finances. After working a summer job in grade 6, he invested his hard-earned money in the stock market. Eight years later, he withdrew it to pay for a portion of his university education.
That investment acumen would eventually carry forward into his professional career. “Helping clients develop a strategy to protect and grow their wealth is extremely rewarding for me,” he says. “I’ve always enjoyed advising clients and enhancing their current and future financial state of affairs.”
After graduating with an engineering degree from McMaster University in 2007, Mike worked in the engineering industry for almost five years. While he enjoyed the work, Mike knew something was missing. His real passion was helping people manage their wealth. He would eventually make the switch to the financial services industry as a wealth management advisor. As a Bridgewell founding partner, Mike specializes in developing and implementing wealth and financial risk management, retirement and estate planning strategies for individuals, families and business owners.
“We formed Bridgewell to help our clients build a meaningful financial legacy for themselves and their loved ones,” he explains. “By taking an integrated approach to planning, we can help them take a comprehensive view of their financial situation and design a plan that reflects everything from their current cash flow and future retirement spending needs to tax considerations and their charitable giving objectives.”
